Butterflies are uniquely placed to act as indicators of the state of the environment, allowing us to assess the impacts of climate change and the progress of government policy initiatives to conserve biodiversity. We have two butterfly transects within Linn Park which are measured walks which are monitored on a weekly basis from April to September each year. The results are provided to the United Kingdom Butterfly Monitoring Scheme.
The album below is of photographs taken in Linn Park on the butterfly transect paths.
